Its LED lighting is a nice touch and the inside storage bins feature the third shelf, which folds up beneath itself to allow you to store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls, so you can set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to open and close, but I found the textured plastic coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a full suite of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range, including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also offers many options for customization. It also sends you notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter requires a change.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a handful of other GE fridges that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. This fridge was rated the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the initial temperature set within a matter of hours, and maintained the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-of-the-line appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi as well as Bosch's Home Connect platform. Inside, the fridge has a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized door bins at each door as well as two rows of shelves that capture spills and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer to store deli items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it easy to move the ice when needed. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, too, like sliding drawers that can help you to organize the place of items. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate one for ice.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily enhance the efficiency of the fridge. The refrigerator took longer to chill food and defrost it than the other fridges we tried. This could be due to its bigger capacity.

The doors pose a problem with this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, but they're difficult for taller people to guide shut without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had a front-mounted handle.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
