WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them wisely. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
