Pokemon GO upgrade items (visit this weblink) and Components

A special item can be used to transform certain Pokemon. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's photo disc and can be given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components

Injecting an upgrade component can destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias and enchantments will show their names on the hover display of the item while upgrades that have a suffix or prefix will add their names to the end of the equipment name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item upgrading will show the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters along with regular glyphs like em dashes and en dashes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph gives a character boost in primary stats. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats that will alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses are applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the speed of the hero.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will bring up a window that displays the Glyphs that are available to you. You only need to apply the correct Glyph to the selected item. Every weapon, jewelry, or armor piece has a different collection of Glyphs.

You can level up Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult a area is, the more Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
