WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade item increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment you have and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to avail the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
