Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers don't get much smaller or lighter than this one. Its sleek design allows it to fold into an elegant rectangle shape, and the wheels are easier to turn than other models.

The stroller also comes with an ample storage space under the seat as well as a shoulder strap to make it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be noisy which can disturb children who are asleep.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller that is also a compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its size. The back basket under the seat is spring loaded, meaning that you can lower it to stuff a diaper bag or backpack in and it will pop up to secure the contents. It also has a child's accessory holder as well as an adjustable reclining seat pad. This is more than you would get on a standard lightweight stroller.

It's actually one of the most compact strollers we've tested and can meet the requirements of many airlines for gate-checking, or cabin storage, on airplanes. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is a great choice for those looking for a stroller that is light and easy to carry. It comes with all the features parents would want in a stroller, such as all-terrain wheels and front suspension to ensure an easy ride. It is also extremely lightweight, weighing less than 12 pounds. It folds in one hand and stand up on its own. It also has two tray for parents and children. tray and two cup holders.

Its design isn't excellent, and it didn't do well in our maneuverability test. It also has a swivel frame which makes pushing it over rough terrain seem like lifting a huge weight. This may be okay for those who only use the stroller on smooth streets, but for the majority people, it's going to not be a pleasant experience.

The Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy and a peek-a-boo window for additional sun protection. Its multi-positional seat can accommodate children up 50 pounds and features a five-point safety restraint. This is a great feature for older toddlers who have outgrown infant car seats.

It has a one-step and compact folding mechanism and can be collapsed with practically just a touch of the button. It also has a convenient brake that can be operated by a foot, which is simple and easy to adjust and release.

The handle is lower than most of the strollers we have tested however some parents may feel uncomfortable using it for extended periods. It does have an adjustable handle lock that keeps it in place when open however. This is a great feature to have if are going to be using the stroller on uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate stroller for parents on the move. The compact stroller can be folded up and down with ease and can be tucked away in the overhead compartments on planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to fret about parking fees). It comes with a convenient zip carrying bag that can be easily stored. It can be used right from birth using the infant car seat adapter and provides plenty of shade with its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside is that some parents consider the design to be uninspiring and cheap.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single buggy strollers, but it was designed specifically for luxe urban living and travel. It's one of the smallest strollers that fold (and comes with a handy carry case) and has a nice amount of storage, including cups holder. The seat is comfortable for the child and the adult and reclines to a nearly flat position. This is the only stroller that can be used for infants using the car seat adapter. Some parents with shorter legs might not like the handlebar, which doesn't adjust.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it has many wonderful features that make traveling with kids easier. The large seat reclines to a pretty flat position, and comes with extra padding so that those airplane naps last longer. The canopy extends to provide plenty of sun-shade and the tray that is on the back provides plenty of storage. It also has a spring-loaded handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. This footrest is vulnerable to being damaged by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is an elegant stroller with premium design and quality. Its compact size allows it to easily navigate narrow streets and tight spaces, however its robust construction means it can withstand rough terrain without compromising your child's comfort. Front and rear spring-action suspensions create a noticeably more comfortable ride for both of you, while its robust materials ensure that it can withstand the wear and tear of everyday life without losing its shape. Additionally it can be extended to accommodate other accessories such as an infant car seat.

In our tests during our testing, the Minu was a breeze to fold and maneuver even with a baby in the hand. Its squat nearly square fold which unfolds into thirds, is one of the most straightforward in our tests and allows it to fit into overhead compartments on planes or in public transportation. It also features a buggy single-action brake with color coded that's simple to use.

The seat comes with an adjustable recline in multiple positions and a small single stroller-handed adjustable leg rest, so it's easy to find the ideal position for your child. The UPF 50+ canopy can be lowered quite a bit to protect Cora's face from sun. There's also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window that closes magnetically and adheres to the canopy, rather than using noisy Velcro.

At just under 15 pounds At just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry with a built-in carry handle and shoulder strap. It can be stored in the trunk of your vehicle, and comes with a storage container and Uppababy TravelSafe, which extends the manufacturer's warranty by two years and provides the cost of replacement if something is damaged during air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy, an established stroller brand that makes various models. This lightweight stroller is ideal for parents looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport their children. It is easy to maneuver, has plenty of storage, and is easy to fold. This model is not suitable for those who need an extra stroller or a car seat compatible model. It does not accept infant car seats. Your babies should be able to sit upright on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller has some solid features and an impressive price tag. It scored higher on our maneuverability test than other models with similar specs. It's an excellent choice for smooth paved surfaces. It has a large parent tray, canopy and plenty of storage. The handlebar is shorter than average and the front wheel suspension is stiffer however it's suitable for adults.

If you have twins or two kids with different ages, you may find that a side-by-side stroller is the best way to get them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which offers plenty of features, and has a slim footprint that can fit where most other side-by-side alternatives can't.

It has individually reclining seats as well as a large canopy that has an open window, and plenty of storage. It's a bit heavier than other side-by-sides, but it has a decent weight capacity and can be used by children up to 50 pounds. You can also add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller to accommodate infants.
